After a unique Vietnamese-American wedding held in a cave in Quang Ninh went viral on social media, many tourists from Hanoi and Hai Phong flocked here to check-in and marvel at the wondrous "underground" natural scenery.
Recently, a series of photos featuring a wedding between a Vietnamese groom and an American bride, held in a uniquely stunning cave in Quang Ninh, unexpectedly went viral on social media. Immediately, this cave became a highly sought-after destination, with many tourists eager to visit and "check-in" due to its vibrant and picturesque atmosphere.
This popular check-in spot is Vung Duc Cave (also known as Vung Duc Cave Tourist Area), part of the Vung Duc Historical Relic and Scenic Area complex (Cam Dong Ward, Cam Pha City, Quang Ninh Province). It's located approximately 45km northeast of Ha Long City.

The wedding of the Vietnamese groom and American bride, held in Vĩnh Đục Cave, caused a stir online.
Vung Duc Cave is situated on the shores of Bai Tu Long Bay, enveloped by the Ban Co mountain range, offering beautiful natural scenery that captivates visitors.
Since the 18.7km Ha Long - Cam Pha coastal road, designed with six lanes, became operational, traveling to Vung Duc Cave has become significantly more convenient for tourists, both by road and by sea.
Traveling along this route, visitors have the opportunity to admire unique landscapes, with mountains on one side and the sea on the other. Upon reaching the end of the road, where it meets Ben Tau Road in Cam Pha City, turn towards Vung Duc, and after about 1km, you'll arrive at the cave of the same name.

From Vung Duc Cave, visitors can enjoy expansive views of the beautiful Bai Tu Long Bay stretching out before them.
Vung Duc Cave comprises a system of five interconnected caves: Thien Dang Cave, Long Van Cave, Ngo Ngang Cave, Kim Quy Cave, and the largest, Cung Dinh Cave (also known as Bat Cave).
The caves are situated at varying elevations, from low to high. For some, visitors need to ascend hundreds of stone steps to reach their entrances.
Since 1999, the site has been equipped with an elevator system, lighting, and improved cave entrances to make it more convenient for visitors to explore and enjoy the experience.

The interior of the Vung Duc cave system is relatively flat, making it very convenient for visitors to explore and discover.
The first stop for visitors at the Vung Duc cave tourist area is Thien Dang Cave, located 46m above sea level. It features five interconnected entrances, with two serving as entry and exit points. In the center of the cave, there's a spacious and flat area adorned with numerous vivid stalactites, and a cluster of hanging stone lamps illuminates the cave ceiling.
To reach this point, visitors can enter through the main entrance or follow the mountainside path. Inside the cave, soft, flowing stone curtains hang down, and a particularly thick layer of silvery stalactites shimmers. When light streams in, it further enhances the cave's sparkling and magical beauty.

The myriad rock formations within the cave impress visitors, inviting them to imagine countless unique and fascinating shapes.
The next stop is Long Van Cave, situated approximately 50m above sea level. Inside, the cave is divided into two branches, upper and lower. It features diverse and intriguing rock formations, where visitors can freely imagine shapes like elephants, swans, bells, lotus pedestals, and more.
In the center of the cave stands a massive stalactite connecting the ceiling to the floor. This stalactite features numerous patterns, resembling a dragon's head or a stone musical instrument. Notably, during its natural formation, a round shape resembling an emblem was affixed to the middle of the column, giving the cave the magnificent beauty of a grand palace.

The caves here were formed alongside the geological history of Ha Long Bay and Bai Tu Long Bay, approximately 150 million years ago.
After exiting Long Van Cave and following the main path, visitors will reach Kim Quy Cave and Ngo Ngang Cave.
At the very end of this cave system lies Cung Dinh Cave, the largest of them all, serving as a magnificent venue for events with a capacity of up to 1,000 people. Here, visitors also have the opportunity to savor delicious dishes prepared from the famous seafood of the Quang Ninh coastal region.
The entrance fee for the Vung Duc cave tourist area (which includes all five caves) is 120,000 VND per person for adults and children over 1.4m tall, and 60,000 VND per person for children between 1m and 1.4m tall.

Visitors can explore Vung Duc Cave year-round. Especially during the summer, the cool interior of the cave offers a pleasant and refreshing escape.
The itinerary to explore all five caves takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Many visitors who have explored Vung Duc Cave remark on the numerous beautiful stalactites inside, each with unique and diverse shapes that spark the imagination.
Formed over millions of years of geological processes, the caves have preserved their intact, pristine, and majestic beauty. Throughout the cave system, soft, winding stalactite curtains display intricate and skillfully carved details.

A multi-colored lighting system, combined with the diverse stalactite formations, imbues the caves with a mysterious and magical ambiance.
From certain vantage points within the cave system, visitors can also witness the entire landscape from above, enjoying expansive views of the undulating islands in Bai Tu Long Bay.
Since the Vung Duc Historical Relic and Scenic Area is located right next to Vung Duc pier, visitors have the opportunity to combine their trip with exploring several islands and tourist areas within Bai Tu Long Bay. These include Ba Mun National Park, The Vang Island, Cong Tay Island tourist area, and The Vang Island eco-tourism area, or venture further to islands like Quan Lan and Co To.
